Selinsgrove Center has been unsuccessful in recruiting Commonwealth registered nurses. The facility needs to utilize multiple outside agencies to fill the vacancies. The state contracted vendor hasn't been successful in recruiting enough to fill the vacancies against requisitions #695906 and #695905.

Justification for Extension:

The facility needs to utilize agency staff to ensure the health and safety of the residents. Selinsgrove Center is utilizing multiple agencies as one vendor can’t provide enough staff to fill our vacancies.

Result, if not Approved:
|
Without adequate staff the health & safety of both individuals and staff are at risk. The level of care will decrease significantly. The EP extension will follow the life of the current DGS contract 4400021358 or until a new contract is in place whichever is sooner.
